The NGO World Honored by Alkhidmat Foundation for Support in Cattle Project 2024-25

Multan – In a graceful ceremony, Alkhidmat Foundation South Punjab presented a shield of appreciation to Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Founder of The NGO World Foundation, in recognition of the organization’s valuable support in the successful completion of the Cattle Project 2024-25.

The event was graced by Mr. Ahmed Ammar Yasir, President Alkhidmat South Punjab, and Mr. Humayon Shehzad, Regional Manager, along with other distinguished guests and team members.

The Cattle Project 2024-25 was launched as a joint initiative inspired by the Barkat Project of The NGO World, which has become a flagship model for rural livelihood and poverty alleviation through livestock distribution. Building on the Barkat Project’s proven impact since 2013, this collaboration provided livestock support to deserving households in South Punjab, enhancing food security and generating sustainable income opportunities for vulnerable families.

The Barkat Project, implemented by The NGO World for over a decade, has empowered hundreds of rural households with livestock assets. Each year, more than 300 animals are distributed, enabling families—particularly women—to improve household nutrition and income. The model has been recognized nationally and internationally, with an impact analysis conducted by SESRIC and multiple awards highlighting its sustainability and innovation in community development.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Zafar Iqbal expressed his gratitude and emphasized that collaborative efforts between like-minded organizations create sustainable impact in the lives of underprivileged families. He reaffirmed The NGO World’s commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen livelihoods, empower communities, and uplift vulnerable groups.

This recognition marks another milestone in The NGO World’s continuous journey of collaboration, compassion, and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
