National Youth Policy Dialogue on Climate Change: A Call to Action

Islamabad, September 13, 2023 – In a remarkable effort to address one of the most pressing issues of our time, the SDGs Academy Pakistan, with support of UNDP, The NGO World Foundation and other partners, hosted the “National Youth Policy Dialogue on Climate Change” at a local hotel in Islamabad. This momentous event brought together key figures, including government officials, diplomats, and passionate youth advocates, to discuss climate change and its implications for Pakistan and the world.

The event’s opening session was graced by the esteemed presence of Khalil George Francis, Federal Minister for Human Rights of Pakistan, who served as the Chief Guest. His address set the tone for a day of meaningful dialogue and action on climate change.

Highlighting the international dimension of the issue, H.E. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, shared insights into how his country is actively addressing climate change challenges. His message resonated with the audience, emphasizing the need for collective global efforts to combat climate change.

Mr. Ammar Jaferi, the Founder of SDGs Academy Pakistan, provided an overview of the day’s program, setting the stage for a series of engaging panel discussions, speeches, and activities.
