International Volunteers Day 2018

On 5 December 2018, the whole world celebrates the International Volunteers Day to acknowledge the efforts of volunteers doing the social good for the humanity. The NGO World also celebrated the International Volunteers Day 2018 in Karachi and Islamabad. In Karachi, about 20 participants from ZEST project of The NGO World participated in an event that was conducted by Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) on the occasion of International Volunteers Day 2018. The team was led by Mr. Sardar Shakeel and Mr. Sajjad Nayyer from The NGO World. One supervisor received the shield as the best volunteer. The students prepared beautiful charts on this important day and displayed in the event. The efforts were praised by everyone.

A session was also conducted by The NGO World at its Islamabad Office on the importance of this day. About 25 volunteers attended the session and the session was conducted by honorable Mr. Atiq Mirza from INGOLAM, who has got a vast experience of conducting training sessions. 
This event was organized in collaboration with Millat Services Pakistan to motivate, recognize volunteer work, and encourage volunteerism as volunteers are driven by a desire to contribute to the well-being of their society, without expectation of material reward, and their efforts always promote civic values, peace and social cohesion in the society. At the end of the session, certificates were distributed among the best volunteers.
