Renowned social activist, change agent, a true advocate of girls’ education, and chairman of Roshan Pakistan Academy, Humaira Bachal along with her team spent a busy day at our ZEST Educational Support Project in Korangi Karachi. She was visiting on invitation by the Chairman Mr. Zafar Iqbal.
During the visit, her delegation visited Non-formal Education centers and interacted with students and teachers. They inquired about the teaching methodologies, curriculum, evaluation, and issues of dropout. Ms. Humaira Bachal felt pleasant and enjoyed the interaction with the students belonging to underserved communities. After NFE centers she was offered a warm welcome at ZEST Model High School by the students and staff. Mr. Chairman briefed him about the concept of the ZEST project and the positive impact it is putting on the lives of children.
The visit was concluded with her appreciation for the project and a motivational talk to the ZEST team. She shared the emotional and inspirational story of her continued struggle for the cause of girls’ education particularly living in the slums.
The ZEST project is targeting 10 thousand out-of-school children through the Non-formal Education system.
