TNW has been implementing Non-Formal Education project in Karachi from last 3 years with the support of Turkey. Technical support has been providing by JICA in terms of teachers training and provision of books for students. JICA team is always keen on quality. For this purpose, they regularly monitor ZEST schools.
One of the high-level delegation of Ms. Gulnaz from JICA and Ms.Watanabe And Ms. Saisyu from Japan Consulate Karachi, visited ZEST schools Karachi Ms. Michiko from Japan & Ph.D. researcher in Education on 28th June 2018.
During their visit, they visited 04 ZEST centers. They had the conversation with supervisors, teachers, and students. They ask teachers about the quality services of TNW and provision of books. They also inquired the teaching methodology, student’s age, and grades. How far other schools and centers??? They also got involved with students and ask few questions regarding attendance and regular activities. Students were very happy to saw them all in their centers. They welcomed them in a traditional way.
The delegation really impressed the ZEST model. They cherished the role and contribution of community in the establishment of centers. This is a sustainable model, they said. They appreciated the quality work of TNW team in teacher’s identification, student’s enrollment, and community contribution.
