Ankara, Turkey – October 20, 2023: Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Chairman of The NGO World Foundation, visited Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid at the Pakistan Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. The purpose of the meeting was to highlight the remarkable 13-year collaboration between The NGO World and various Turkish organizations, including TiKA, Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi, Turk Kizilay, and other humanitarian and development organizations.

During the meeting, Mr. Iqbal provided an extensive overview of both ongoing and completed projects that have been undertaken since 2010, showcasing the tangible impact of this longstanding partnership.

Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid expressed keen interest in specific initiatives, such as the “Barkat” project, aimed at poverty reduction, and the “ZEST Educational Support Program” by The NGO World. Mr. ambassador commended the significant contributions made by The NGO World and pledged his continued support for the organization’s endeavors in Turkey. Syed Atif Raza, serving as a Counsellor at the Pakistan Embassy in Ankara, was also present during this insightful meeting.

To document the collaborative journey of The NGO World with Turkish organizations, Mr. Chairman presented the ambassador with the comprehensive report titled “Brotherhood for Social Good.” This report outlines the extensive efforts and positive outcomes achieved in the pursuit of social welfare through collaboration between The NGO World and Turkish partners.

This meeting further strengthens the bonds of cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey in the realm of humanitarian and development initiatives, demonstrating the commitment of both countries to making a positive impact on the lives of people in need.
