TNW celebrated “International day of Persons with Disabilities”

The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in 1992, by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

The NGO World Foundation celebrated International day of Persons with Disabilities on 03-12-2017 under its core program “Amazing Persons” with collaboration of civil societies at Khanewal. 25 participants included amazing persons attend the event, in which representatives of NGO’s, civil society and government participated. Mr. Muhammad Salman from TNW, welcomed all the participants. He also shared TNW’s programs specially “Amazing Persons-Empowering Differently Abled” to the participants. TNW believes in meaningful participation of these persons in every part of life without any discrimination. After that, Mr. Dr Akhter Hussain from Hadaf Foundation, Mr. Shahzad Francis from Bethak organization, Mr. Sissal Paoul Ex Director of Sada-e-Umeed, Madam Asmat Wasti Chair-Person of Tuba Foundation, Mr. David Kamar social activist and Dr. Tahir Khan member of the Spirit foundation addressed with participants. They all emphasized on inclusion of persons with disability in every part of life and work. All organizations should develop projects and strategies for these amazing persons.
